Torpor Games UG is an indie video game company based in Berlin, focused on creating thought-provoking entertainment. After releasing the Suzerain 2.0 “Amendment” update and the first Kingdom of Rizia premium DLC on PC earlier this year with co-publisher Fellow Traveller, the Berlin-based team of 15 is excited to bring the Suzerain series to mobile, aiming to reach a broader audience. Torpor Games continues to expand its fictional universe, delivering more politically engaging narrative experiences. Torpor Games is working on a prequel called, The Conformist (https://www.theconformistgame.com/), a narrative roleplaying game set in the 1930s in which the player guides Orwin – a propagandist working for the government of Sordland – in an attempt to discover his path in the capital. Based on the Suzerain universe, players step into the city of Holsord (https://codex.torporgames.com/holsord), discovering the country of Sordland and its people caught in the turbulence of a newly established military government under President Tarquin Soll (https://codex.torporgames.com/tarquin-soll). Players must juggle their propagandist obligations to their superiors, their ambitions, and their families while avoiding the state’s scrutiny – or aiding the resistance against them.
