Nalan Sipar (39) came to Germany in 2000. Since completing her traineeship at Deutsche Welle, the political science graduate has worked as a freelance journalist for Deutschlandfunk, Der Spiegel and WDR, among others. Sipar will soon be founding a start-up, “Nalan Sipar Media” (NSM), which will produce and publish German-Turkish video content as a “digital publisher”. Sipar’s start-up idea was awarded the “Best Start-up Idea” by the German Journalists’ Association in 2022.
