Dirk Werner researches and publishes on topics related to vocational education and skilled labor supply, particularly on the training position market, workplace continuing education, skilled labor shortages, and the international comparison of vocational education systems. He has been working at the IW since 2006 and leads the thematic cluster “Vocational Qualification and Skilled Labor” as well as the projects “BQ-Portal – Information Portal for Foreign Professional Qualifications,” “Competence Center for Skilled Labor Supply (KOFA),” and “Network Q 4.0”.
