We need to talk, Digi!
The digital future with Web3, Metaverse, AI and augmented realities is racing towards us. Especially for our children’s generation. And that’s while we as parents haven’t even understood Minecraft, TikTok and Twitch yet. The digital divide in families is widening, conversations about social media, games and media are becoming rarer, and at some point we’ve lost our kids. That’s why we need to talk, eye-to-eye and regularly. But how?

The Impact of AI on the Future of Work
Artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming the most important driver of the digital transformation and is increasingly finding its way from research into application. AI has the potential to change the world of work more than previous technologies. It can not only take over simple routine tasks, but also support complex and analytical tasks. This leads to the question of whether AI will replace jobs or create new ones. At the same time, new skills needs arise, as AI does not match the interpersonal and creative skills of humans. Therefore, it is crucial to understand the impact of AI on workers and build the skills needed to use the technology productively. This panel is dedicated to the role of AI in the world of work and its impact on people and corporate culture.

Making Workshops – Quick Decisions, More Commitment & Less Blah Blah
Why do most leaders learn how to do presentations but not how to make teams work together in a meaningful and efficient way? Bringing together people with different perspectives, opinions and know-how gets more and more relevant with increasing complexity. And with big challenges trustful and efficient collaboration becomes crucial. Katja is the author of the book “Workshops machen” (Doing Workshops) and her beautifully illustrated talk is about what workshops and collaborative methods can contribute to great collaboration. However, the biggest part of the talk is dedicated to practical hacks and methods for collaboration in fields like innovation, strategy, team building and decision making. You can use them as a building blocks for workshops or seperately in meetings. Some of them even without preparation. For initiators, doers, creators, game changers and moderators who want to move things forward. Admission at 12:05 pm. This workshop will be held in German.

Motivating remuneration systems from a neuroscientific point of view (Co-curated by Finanzkanzlei Jan Olaf Groh)
A neuroscientific perspective on motivational reward systems (compensation models). Most reward systems are “nicely meant” and after about 6 weeks they often no longer motivate the employee. This means that they usually fail to get to the heart of how to motivate in the workplace. MBS(C) MotivierendeBezahlSysteme work where motivation and creativity are at home (reward centre in the brain). For motivation, success, loyalty and performance targets they do not even have to look elsewhere. Matthias F. Ramge, Master of Cognitive Neuroscience

“Generation 50+: Working flexibly after retirement – How does it work?
Keynote speech by Ulrike Krämmer: Generation #50plus: Flexible working into retirement – age what is that!? Panel: At a time when skilled workers are urgently needed, people beyond the 50+ generation, regardless of gender and identity, are extremely attractive. Diversity and demographic trends are reinforcing this trend. At the same time, companies are developing new strategies and flexible working models to make the most of the potential of the 50+ generation. Practice shows that older employees enrich companies with essential skills. In this context, we would like to highlight the following issues in particular, which we will discuss in our panel: How can “active retirees” who still feel like working after the start of their retirement or pension, be able to do so in an uncomplicated and unbureaucratic way – be it for a few hours or a few days per week? To what extent can individuals continue to be professionally active after retirement, regardless of gender or identity?

We Solve “Fachkräftemangel” – by Deeply Appreciating People’s Uniqueness and Cultivating Intrinsic Motivation.
The current demand for professionally qualified young adults in Germany is not being adequately met, leading to challenges in connecting with and engaging them. Our solution lies in intrinsic motivation, which has been successfully implemented in the vocational course “artec” (Wetek Berlin gGmbH) for unemployed adults over the last five years. Key Points: 1. Emotional Connection: Our course is designed with a strong emotional appeal that connects directly and innately with participants. By treating young adults in a democratic, egalitarian manner and establishing a “eye to eye” communication approach, the course fosters meaningful engagement. 2. Autonomy and Responsibility: From the very beginning, participants are allowed their own domains of responsibility. This approach empowers them and cultivates a sense of self-efficacy and self-fulfillment, providing a positive experience during difficult life phases. 3. Valuing Participants: Instructors are charged with valuing and appreciating participants on all levels. This supportive environment contributes to their sense of worth and encourages them to stay committed to the course. 4. Anti-discriminatory Standards: In the course, the reality of different layers of discriminations are laid out at the example of the participants’ experiences, allowing for an inclusive and respectful atmosphere. 5. Progressive Instructor-Participant Interaction: We unpack the roles of Instructors, team and participants and discuss the empowering communication styles to further strengthen the sense of belonging. As a result of these strategies, the course boasts an impressive success rate. 83% of participants continue to higher levels of vocational or professional training, while only 4% drop out. But how do we deal with issues such as psychological illness, unpunctuality and unproductive group dynamics? Find out in my talk.
