Helen Choi started in the industry as a CG Generalist. She worked across various industries, including animation, entertainment, and advertisement. She has a long history of maintaining a Team Lead role. She is a Creative Director at the animation studio Woodblock, and the creator of an animation series (in development) Blue Marble. She recently took on an additional role to help shape Culture at Woodblock, as Head of Culture. She is a natural generalist, and her passion lies in aiding good communication between the team members and facilitating a culture that promotes the team’s well-being.

As a hobby project, she illustrates funny German words on her @helen_handshoes Instagram account and is currently working on a German Prefix Verbs book in collaboration with Emanuel Schuchart.

Born and raised in South Korea and the United States, she now happily calls Berlin her home. Helen loves to cook, eat, move.. and then eat some more.

At the PEOPLE & CULTURE FESTIVAL 2025, she’s offering a session on “Top 10 Psychological Effects to learn for Burnout Prevention”.
