Katie Gallus is a facilitator and geographer. She works as a freelance journalist and speaker for various media outlets, moderating roundtable discussions at home and abroad, as well as the 17 Goals podcast. Previously, she worked for the United Nations in New York City and researched in the Georgian Caucasus,Egypt, Kyrgyzstan, Brazil, Sierra Leone. As a filmmaker, she has spent the last two years increasingly in Ethiopia. Katie Gallus works on digital ideas, globalization issues, development cooperation, human-environment relations. She regularly profiles changemakers of the SDGs. Her work as a moderator was nominated in the category “Public Value” of the Stuttgart Moderation Award. In her honorary work, she is involved with German Dream and DESWOS.
