Mental Health & Wellbeing at Work: Insights into Thementrack 1 at the PEOPLE & CULTURE FESTIVAL 2025

Nora Dietrich

Founder of between people, consultant & author of Mental Health at Work – Nora Dietrich will be part of PCF25.

How can we prevent burnout effectively – both on an individual and structural level?
That’s the central question in the panel discussion featuring Nora Dietrich, founder and managing director of between people. As a systemic consultant and author of Mental Health at Work, she brings both expert knowledge and personal insight into the conversation on mental health in the workplace.

At PCF25, she joins other professionals to explore the responsibility organizations and leaders have in strengthening the mental and physical wellbeing of their teams – through flexible work models, cycle-aware practices, social interaction, and a new understanding of performance and humanity in the workplace.

✳️ 3 Questions for… Nora Dietrich

Ahead of her appearance at PCF25, medianet berlinbrandenburg e.V. asked Nora three personal questions:

What does resilience mean to you?

“To me, resilience doesn’t mean always being strong – it means knowing where to find support when things get turbulent. In high-stress phases, I ask myself: What is non-negotiable for me, even when everything feels like it’s burning? For me, that’s a minimal routine – even just ten minutes of fresh air, a coffee without a screen, and working out once a week.”

What was your moment of courage?

“The moment that set me on my path was actually more a moment of anger than courage. Again and again, I sat across from people in my practice who were suffering from structural issues: too much work, too little space, not being heard. That’s why Mental Health at Work is often described as unusually personal, without losing its professional depth.”

How would you like to shape the future of work?

“I envision a world of work where humanity is not the opposite of performance – but its foundation. My contribution is to make both accessible – through vulnerability, clear thinking, and practical tools, like those shared in Mental Health at Work. Because healthy work shouldn’t only matter once it’s already too late.”
