Yasmine Amal is an artist, political scientist, and mediator. She defines and fulfills her various roles through an indigenous-futuristic perspective. Her commitment is to empowering marginalized voices, fostering dialogue, and collective learning with the aim of building a more empathetic society. Her research focuses on decolonization, social cohesion, and transformation. Previously, she worked for GIZ as well as the Heidelberg Institute for International Conflict Research. In addition to her artistic practice, she is currently a board member of JUMA e.V. and conducts workshops and training on social transformation, conflict, and intercultural competence.
